Have you ever
considered offering your nursery children
the opportunity
of learning another language? With language
proficiency
and entitlement high on the educational agenda more and
more schools
are beginning to recognise the importance of introducing a
language at an
early age.
SmallTalk
has been running its own Early Language Learning programmes in Scotland since September 2000, teaching pre-school children French and Spanish before
they transfer to primary school.
We offer a structured yet flexible language programme
for nursery children which allows them to enjoy learning at a pace and
through activities suited to their age of development. We
believe in making language learning a fun experience right from the word go
and our main emphasis is on children being actively involved in their own
learning through physical games, acting, miming, drawing and singing. Our
programme is closely linked to current guidelines for modern languages
teaching, allowing for continuity and development in later years.
If you
are thinking of adding a language to your existing
curriculum then why not consider offering your children SmallTalk French or Spanish tuition.
We currently offer a variety of language lessons ranging from individual or
weekly to fortnightly or block booked sessions, all of which are fully
inclusive of teaching materials, photocopying and travel costs from base to
school.
